An administration fee of kr 25 is added to the stated prices; in addition, everyone participating in races in Norway must pay a license fee to the athletics federation. The license fee is in addition to the entry fee. If you have already purchased a year-round license, provide your license number. BT-Fordel

1,200 tickets have been set aside at a discounted price for our individual distances. BT-Fordel customers must provide their subscription number upon registration to receive the discount.

NOTE: The voucher code corresponds to the price you paid for the original registration. You will therefore have to pay the difference if you change to a distance with a more expensive registration fee.

Rules for resale of bib numbers

Sale and transfer of bib numbers are permitted up to and including April 17, 2027.

Resale of bib numbers takes place exclusively as a private agreement between buyer and seller. Bergen City Marathon is not a party to this transaction and is not responsible for payment, pricing, transfer of money, or any disagreements between the parties.

The organizer only facilitates the technical solution for changing registration through a voucher code in accordance with applicable deadlines and terms. It is the seller's responsibility to ensure that the correct voucher code is passed on, and the buyer's responsibility to complete the new registration within the applicable deadline.

Bergen City Marathon assumes no responsibility for errors, misuse, or failure to complete a resale, and encourages both parties to ensure clear communication and execution of the agreement before the voucher code is used.

Procedure for changes and resale of bib numbers

It is possible to resell the bib number up to and including April 17, 2027. If you find someone who wants to take over your spot, follow this procedure.

NOTE: If you have purchased a t-shirt, it will not be included in the voucher code upon resale, as we cannot guarantee that we have the desired size available for the new participant.

The service costs kr 100. The voucher covers the registration fee and license.

1. Go to participant login HERE

Log in with your username and password (sent by email upon registration).

2. Create voucher code

Once logged in, select "Sell/change registration."

A voucher code with the same value as your original registration will be created and sent to you by email. If you have purchased a t-shirt, it will not be included in the voucher code's value.

Once the voucher code is activated, the original user is automatically deactivated.

3. Send the voucher code to the new participant

The new participant uses the voucher code when they make a new registration. If the ticket has become more expensive since you bought it, the new participant must pay the difference.

The new participant enters the voucher code on the same page where the payment method is selected. Any t-shirt (kr 200) must be paid for by the new participant.

Note:

It is not possible to switch to a distance that is fully booked.

All changes must be completed by April 17.

The value of the voucher code corresponds to the price the original participant paid at registration. If there have been price increases since then, the person taking over must pay the difference.

No, you cannot transfer your registration to next year.
If a participant cannot participate on the date the race will be held, we recommend reselling the ticket.

We have created a dedicated Facebook group for buying and selling bib numbers, where participants can request or offer spots. This process is not handled by the organizer but takes place directly between buyer and seller, who agree on the price and payment themselves.

Important information about bib numbers

On the back of the bib number, you will find the medical form, which you must fill out before the race.

This is important for your own safety should anything happen along the way.

It is forbidden to run with a bib number registered to another person unless the transfer is registered online.
The deadline for reselling bib numbers is set for April 17, 2027.

Running in another person's name is not permitted and can lead to disqualification.

Name on bib number
Everyone who signs up before April 1 will have their name printed on the bib number.
In the event of a bib number resale after this date, the name will not be printed.
It is not permitted to resell bib numbers after April 17, 2027.

Kids' Race
When registering for the kids' race before April 1, you can choose to order an extra bib number for parents, which says “mom of” or “dad of”.
This choice is made on the registration page and costs kr 50.

This year's BCM t-shirt
This year's BCM t-shirt can be ordered at the same time as registration for the race. Price: kr 200.

The t-shirt is available in both women's and men's models with a good fit.
If you did not order a t-shirt at registration but wish to buy one later, you can log in with your participant login and purchase a t-shirt.

Kids' Race

All children participating in the kids' race will be given their own t-shirt when they pick up their bib number at the Sports Fair. This is included at no extra cost.

Your bib number can be picked up at the Sports Fair.

The fair is open Tuesday, April 20, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and Wednesday, April 21, to Friday, April 23, from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

You will receive an SMS with your bib number in advance. Provide this number when picking up at Vikinghallen.
You can also pick up for others, as long as you show the SMS they received.

At the fair, our sponsors will have their own sports outlets with great offers and a wide selection of sports equipment and running shoes. Sport 1, Ronhill, Craft, and SQUEEZY will have their own stands.

Drop-off of gear takes place outside Vikinghallen in Øvre Dreggsallmenningen (behind Thon Hotel Orion) between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM - ONLY FOR HALF MARATHON AND MARATHON (no storage for relay and 5 km).

You will be given an orange luggage bag when you pick up your bib number at the Sports Fair. Feel free to use your old orange BCM bag if you have it. In the envelope containing your bib number, you will find a sticker. Attach this sticker clearly on the outside of the bag. All gear you want us to store for you must be inside the luggage bag. If this is not done correctly, the bag will not be accepted!

No other bags/pouches/backpacks can be used for gear storage. Only one bag per participant. When you pick up the bag after the race, show
your bib number and get your belongings back.

NOTE: In case of rain – put your clothes in a waterproof bag first, and then in the BCM bag, before drop-off.

Locker rooms for changing will be available in Vikinghallen.
The locker room opens at 6:30 AM.

AID STATIONS

At the aid stations, we serve water, sports drinks, bananas, and dark chocolate.

This is set up the same way at all stations. Water first – then sports drinks.
When you cross the finish line, you will receive a delicious cinnamon roll from Baker Brun.

Fjellveien by the “Tippetue kiosk” 7.2 km.
Haraldsplass Hospital 10 km.
AdO Arena 14 km.
Nordnes School 19 km.
Bryggen (full marathon only) 21.5 km.

The pacers will try to stay a few minutes ahead of schedule so there is a little ”to go on” towards the end. Furthermore, uphill and downhill sections will also have an impact. It is not wise to push too hard on the uphills and get stiff. It is also not wise to tire out your thighs too much on the downhills.

Think about your own strengths and weaknesses along the way. If you lose the flag because you walk a few steps at the aid stations, it can be an advantage – you will easily catch up after a few kilometers. Remember that with so many runners, it can get a bit chaotic at the aid stations. Don't skip your nutrition! Think positive thoughts! Smile at the crowd! Give a ”high five!” to children along the course! Remember that pain moves around the body during the race. Endorphins are your friend. Use your own watch – pacers are actually just human too. THE PACERS RUN WITH FLAGS ON THEIR BACKS. THEY WILL BE CLEARLY VISIBLE IN THE FIELD. WE WILL HAVE PACERS FOR THE TIMES SHOWN HERE!

The following maximum times apply to the race:

• Half marathon: 4 hours
• Marathon: 6 hours

In connection with the release of traffic on the course, participants must have crossed the finish line within a certain time limit. Participants who finish after the maximum time will not be included in the results lists. For this year's race, a maximum time of 6 hours has been set for the marathon distance. As a result, we have set a cut-off time of 10:45 AM for passing the start/finish line at Bryggen. If you pass the start/finish line after 10:45 AM, you will be stopped, but your race will be approved as a completed half marathon.

‘Cut-off’ times for marathon runners:

21 km – Passing Bryggen after 10:45 AM.

If you pass Bryggen later than 10:45 AM, you will be stopped, but your race will be approved as a completed half marathon.
